BRITISH COLUMBIA ENERGY COMMISSION ORDER NUMBER CON-lS-80 PROVINCE OF BRITISH COLUNBIA BRITISH COLUMBIA ENERGY COIv1Iv1ISSION IN THE NATTER OF the Energy Act RSBC 1979, c. 108 and IN THE NATTER OF Common Purchaser Orders COM-4-80, COM-5-80, COM-6-80, COM-7-80, COM-13-80 and COM-14-80 and IN THE MATTER OF an Application by British Columbia Petroleum Corporation for an Order under Section 83(4) and 83(5) BEFORE: M. Taylor, Chairman; R. Smith, August 21, 1980 Deputy Chairman; and D.B. Kilpatrick, Commissioner o R D E R WHEREAS the British Columbia Energy Commission (lithe Commission") has issued Orders declaring the British Columbia Petroleum Corporation ("B.C.P.C.") to be a common purchaser of natural gas from several natural gas pools in British Columbia; and WHEREAS the British Columbia Petroleum Corporation alleges that it requires clarification of several matters before such Orders can be properly implemented; and WHEREAS the British Columbia Petroleum Corporation applied August 15, 1980 for an Order under Section 83(4) and (5) in this respect; and WHEREAS the Commission considers that the matters require a public hearing to solicit the views of all concerned parties. . .. /2 11

A public hearing will be heard commencing at 9:30 a.m. on September 17, 1980 in the Hearing Room of the Commission on the 21st Floor, 1177 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. 2. The hearing will address concerns related to the issued common purchaser Orders including the following matters: (a) The effective date on which a new producer will be entitled to share in the production and revenues from the common pool. (b) The manner in which the portion of the production allocated to the new producer is to be taken from the existing contracts in the Pool. (c) The manner of reallocating any volumes which have been allocated to the new producers in the event that they are unable to produce the volumes allocated to them. 3. Persons intending to participate in the hearing should give written Notice on or before September 10, 1980, to Derek Leach, Secretary British Columbia Energy Commission; and to the British Columbia Petroleum Corporation addressed as follows: Mr. D. W. Rawlyk General Manager and Manager of Natural Gas Division British Columbia Petroleum Corporation 6th Floor 1199 West Hastings Street Vancouver, B.C. V6E 3TS British Collli~bia Petroleum Corporation will provide to all registered Intervenors one copy of its Intervention as soon as possible after September 10, 1980.
