"V\Talden, ) Commissioner } o R D E R WHEREAS West Kootenay Power and Light Company, Limited applied February 8, 1980 for the payment of a grant in aid of rural electrification; and WHEREAS the Co~~ission has reviewed the Application and supporting material and finds that the line extension conforms to the terms of Schedule 84 of the Company's filed tariff, applicable to electrical line extensions qualifying for rural electrification assistance grants; and WHEREAS the line extension will supply electric power to customers in a rural designated area, which due to insufficient customers, would not otherwise receive electric service at reasonable rates. . .. /2
B CulU ENERGY CO ORDER NUMBER REA-1-80 2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders that the amount of $67,000.00 be recommended for payment to West Kootenay Power and Light Company, Limited pursuant to Section 107 of the Power Act, the said amount not exceeding 50% of (a) the capital cost of construction and erecting primary transmission lines and cables, service transformers, secondary lines, conduits, pipes, pipe-lines, storage-tanks and meters, and (b) the operating expenses for the supply of power in the said rural area and designates West Kootenay Power and Light Company, Limited, being an electric utility, to receive the said payment.
