Such hearing will be styled Phase I and will consider revenue requirements and the appropriate adjustment, if any, to be made on. the basis of the existing tariff rate schedules. 2. The Applicant's submission dated November 28, 1980 comprising proposed revisions to Terms and Conditions and Rate Schedules will be considered at a public hearing at a time, date and place to be announced in a further Order to be issued by the Commission upon the conclusion of the Phase I hearing. Such hearing will be styled Phase II and will consider the appropriate rate structures. 3. A revised Notice of Public Hearing pertaining to the Phase I hearing is attached and is to be regarded as a replacement for the Notice included in clause 7 of Commission Order No. U-G-2l-80, which clause is now cancelled. 4. The Customer Notice prescribed in clause 8 of Commission Order No. U-G-2l-80 is withdrawn and the said clause 8 is now cancelled. May 14 and 16 1 1979 - resulted in Commission approval of a 15% interim increase in rates effective July 1, 1979 subject to refund with interest at 9% per annum. 2. June 6, 1980 - resulted in Commission approval of a 16.5% interim increase in rates effective July 1, 1980 subject to refund with interest at 11% per annum. 3. November 6, 1980 - resulted in Commission approval of an 18% interim increase in rates over existing tariff rate schedules inclusive of previous interim increases, effective January 1, 1981 subject to refund with interest at 12% per annum. PROPOSED REVISIONS TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND RATE SCHEDULES West Kootenay Power submitted proposed revisions together with related supporting material, incorporated in Volume II dated November 28, 1980. THE PUBLIC HEARINGS The Commission has decided to consider the Applications and the Proposed Revisions in two phases as follows: Phase I Will consider the revenue requirements of the Applicant and the appropriate adjustments, if any, to be made on the basis of the existing tariff rate schedules at a public hearing to commence at 10:00 a.m. local tL~e on Monday, March 9, 1981 in the Sandman Inn, 2130 Harvey Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. Phase II Will consider the appropriate rate structures to be employed by the Applicant. 2 PUBLIC INSPECTION OF THE APPLICATIONS (Phase I) The Applications and supporting material are available for inspection at the head office of West Kootenay Power and Light Company, Limited Waneta Plaza, 8100 Rock Island Highway, Trail, B.C., VIR 4N7, or at its local offices throughout its service area. Copies are also available for inspection at the office of the British Col~~bia Utilities Commission, Twenty-First Floor, 1177 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, B.C., V6E 2L7. INTERVENTIONS (Phase I) Any person intending to give evidence or cross-examine witnesses at the hearing should give written notice by Monday, February 2, 1981 (15 copies to the Secretary of the Commission and 5 copies to the Applicant). SUBMISSIONS BY INTERESTED PARTIES (Phase I) Any person intending to file a written submission must file 15 copies of the submission with the Commission and provide 5 copies to the Applicant not later than Monday, February 23, 1981. CLARIFICATION (Phase I) Persons intending to participate in the hearing who are uncertain as to the manner in which to proceed should contact the Secretary of the Commission by telephone (689-1831), or in writing.
