Wolfe, ) Commissioner ) ) o R D E R WHEREAS the Lieutenant Governor in Council issued Orders-in-Council No. 193 and 194 February 1, 1982 and directed the Commission to hold hearings on any Applications received for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for the construction or operation of a pay-television undertaking under the authority of Order-in-Council No. 193 or the ownership and operation of a system of cable undertaking under the authority of Order-in-Council No. 194; and WHEREAS the Commission issued a public notice advising of the terms of reference of Orders-in-Council No. 193 and 1984; and ~'lHEREAS Alexander Laidlaw Housing Co-op applied for Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity by Applications dated December 6, 1984; and WHEREAS the Applications were heard by the Commission in Vancouver on April 26, 1985. . .. /2 FOURTH FLOOR, 800 SMITHE STREet VANCOUVER. BRITISH COLUMBIA UTILITIES COMMISSION ORDER 2 NUMBER T-2-85 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. T-2-85 issue to Alexander Laidlaw Housing Co-op covering the ownership and operation of a pay-television undertaking, not including broadcasting or the distribution of broadcast signals, serving Alexander Laidlaw Housing Co-op, 3630 Skana Drive, Vancouver, British Columbia, all as more particularly described in the Application and hearing record, subject to the terms of service described in the Application and hearing record. 2. Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. T-2-85 issue to Alexander Laidlaw Housing Co-op covering the ownership and operation of a system of cable undertaking serving the pay-television undertaking at Alexander Laidlaw Housing Co-op, 3630 Skana Drive, Vancouver, British Columbia, all as more particularly described in the Application and hearing record. 3. A complaint which the Commission finds is related to a matter which may be in contravention of the guidelines for enforcement of the obscenity provisions, Criminal Code of Canada may be referred to the Attorney General for investigation and the Commission may suspend the Certificates until such matter is concluded. 4. No variation or alteration in the Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity or this Order may be made without the approval of the Commission first obtained.
