BEFORE: 1\1. Taylor, Chairman; J.D.V. Newlands, Deputy Chairman; D.B. Kilpatrick, Commissioner; and N. Martin, Commissioner ORDER WHERE.AS Hemlock ("Hemlock") applied September 8, Utilities Commission Act (lithe Act") to amend its electric service rates effective September 1, 1986; and WHEREAS the amendments specified are to permit Hemlock to recover the effect of increases effective June 13, 1985 and April 1, 1986, applicable to electric power purchased from its supplier, B.C. Hydro and Power Authority; and WHEREAS the Commission has· reviewed the Application and supporting material and finds that the filing of the amendments to the filed tariffs is necessary in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders Hemlock ValJey Electrical Services Ltd. as follows: 1. The Commission September I, J 986, incorporating a general rate increase of O. J 6 cent/kWh, appropriate to enabJe recovery of the increased cost of purchased power. 2. Hemlock is directed to publicize, as soon as possible, in an app;op,iate manner, the a!)provaJ of the ncrease in order that aJI customers rnay be made aware. D ,.. . . . \ .
