Taylor, Chairman; J.D.V. Newlands, Deputy Chairman~ D.B. Kilpatrick, Commissioner; and N. Martin, Commissioner o R D E R WHEREAS British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (<<B.C. Hydro") applied May 14, 1987 pursuant to Section 67 of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act") to introduce new Electric Tariff Rate Schedules to be available to provide interruptible energy to domestic customers; and WHEREAS by the introduction of the proposed Electric Tariff Rate Schedules B.C. Hydro seeks to develop a more secure market for its surplus energy for the benefit of all its customers~ and WHEREAS B.C. Hydro anticipates that it will have firm surplus electricity available until about 1990/91i and WHEREAS B.C. Hydro proposes that the rates in Electric Tariff Rate Schedules 1105 ~nd 1205 (Dual Fuel Interruptible Service, Residential and General, respectively) will remain unchanged until April 1, 1991~ and DI)"-I{"n urdhvfl en r r. Hydro proposes that the rates in Electric Tariff Rate Schedule 1805 (Interruptible Service Electric Steam Boilers) will remain unchanged only until the customer has recovered its capital investment for the electric boiler installation, after which time the rate would be tied to the price of residual oil until April 1, 1991; and WHEREAS the Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that the introduction of the proposed electric service is in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders B.C. Hydro and Power Authority as follows: 1. The introduction, of the following Electric Tariff Rate Schedules is approved effective May 15, 1987: Schedule 1105 - Residential Dual Fuel Interruptible Service. Schedule 1205 - General Dual Fuel Interruptible Service. Schedule 1805 - Interruptible Service - Electric Steam Boilers. 2.
