Taylor, Chairman; D.B. Kilpatrick, Commissioner; and N. Martin, Commissioner ORDER WHEREAS Columbia applied May 30, 1986 for interim and permanent rate relief of approximately 2.4 % to become effective July 1, 1986; and WHEREAS the Commission authorizing Columbia to increase by approximately 2.4% its rates for natural gas service effective on July 1, 1986, with the interim increase subject to refund with interest; and WHEREAS the Commission has given further consideration to the Application and has now determined an appropriate date for the public hearing thereof. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders Columbia Natural Gas Limited as follows: 1. Columbia will arrange for publication not later than Friday, August 15, 1986 of a Notice of Public Hearing, as per attached copy, in one issue each of the Vancouver Sun, the Vancouver Province and such other appropriate news publications as may provide adequate coverage for the service area of the utility. 3. Columbia will file with the Commission not later than Friday, August 22, 1986 any additional prepared testimony and supplemental material upon which it proposes to rely. f+. Interested persons intending to be present and participate in the public hearing should give notice of intention to do so to the Commission Secretary, and to the Applicant, to be received not later than Friday, September 5, 1986. Such notice should state the nature of your interest in the proceeding. 5. Interested persons intending to file a written submission should provide one copy to the Commission Secretary, and one copy to the Applicant, to be received not later than Friday, September 12, 1986. THE PUBLIC HEARING The Commission has set down the Application for public hearing commencing at 1: 30 p.m., local time, Monday, October 14, 1986 at the Inn of the South, 803 Cranbrook Street, Cranbrook, B.C. PUBLIC INSPECTION OF THE APPLICA TION The Application and supporting material are available for inspection at its Cranbrook office and at the Head Office of Columbia Natural Gas Limited, 23rd Floor, 1066 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, B.C., V6E 3G3. A copy of the Application and supporting material is also available for inspection at the office of the British Columbia Utilities Commission, 4th Floor, 800 Smithe Street, Vancouver, B.C. INTERVENTIONS Any person intending to attend the hearing to give evidence or cross-examine witnesses should provide written notice to be received not later than Friday, September 5, 1986, to the Commission Secretary, and to the Applicant. The notice should include a brief statement of the nature of their interest in the proceedings. SUBMISSIONS BY INTERESTED PERSONS Any person intending to file a written submission must do so, to be received not later than Friday, September 12, 1986, one copy of the submission to the Commission Secretary, and to the Applicant.
