Sugar Refining Co. Ltd. BEFORE: J.G. McIntyre, Chairman; N. Martin, Commissioner; and W.M. Swanson, Q.C., Commissioner WHEREAS amendments to the Utilities Commission Act (lithe Act"), including Section 85.3, require ("Contracts") between producers and consumers, be filed with the Commission for approval; and WHEREAS on August 18, 1988 the Commission issued Rules for the filing of such Contracts; and WHEREAS on October 26, 1988 B.C. Sugar Refining Co. Ltd. ("B.C. Sugar") filed with the Commission a natural gas supply contract between the Company and its supplier - Remington Energy Ltd. ("Remington") for the period commencing Novenlber 1, 19&& to November 1, 1990 inclusive under Rules - Section 1.2.1; and WHEREAS on Novernber 24, 1988 B.C. Sugar requested that this contract filing be reconsidered under Section 1.2.3; and WHEREAS the Commission has reviewed the Contract and supporting material and is satisfied that it is in the public interest.
