Limited (IINorthland applied May 24, 1988 to amend its filed Gas Tariff Rate Schedules for its Tumbler Ridge Division to incorporate an interim decrease in rates to all customers effective June 1, 1988; and WHEREAS the Commission has considered the matter and has determined that the Application shall be heard in a public forum. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission accepts for consumption on and after June' 1, 1988 on an interim basis, amended Gas Tariff, General Rate - Natural Gas Service incorporating a decrease in rates of 1.398¢/GJ. Third Revised Sheet No. 43 2. A public hearing will be held commencing at 9:30 a.m. local time on Tuesday, July 12, 1988 at the Tumbler Ridge Inn, 275 Southgate, P.O. Box 99, Tumbler Ridge, B.C. Northland will arrange for publication not later than Tuesday, June 14, 1988 of a Notic.~ of Public Hearing, as per attached copy, in one issue of the Weekly Record, Peace River Block publications and community bulletin boards as may properly provide adequate notice to the population of Tumbler Ridge. 4. Northland is to file with the Commission not later than Friday, June 24, 1988 any additional prepared testimony and supplemental material upon which it intends to rely. 5. Interested persons intending to partIcIpate in the public hearing should give written Notice of Intention to do so to the Commission Secretary, and to the Applicant, to be received not later than Friday, June 24, 1988. Notice should __s tate the nature of the interest in the proceeding. 6. Interested persons intending to file a written submission or to have questions of the Applicant should provide one copy to -the Commission Secretary, and one copy to the Applicant not later than Thursday, June 30, 1988. By Commission Order No. G-56-&&, the Commission has ordered a public hearing to review the Application which includes an interim decrease in rates, effective June 1, 19&&. THE PUBLIC HEARING The Commission has .set down the Application for public hearing to commence at 9:30 a.m. local time, Tuesday, July 12, 19&& at the Tumbler Ridge Inn, 275 Southgate, P.O. Box 99, Tumbler Ridge, B.C. PUBLIC INSPECTION OF THE APPLICATION The Application and supporting material are available for inspection at the offices of Northland in T.umbler Ridge, B.C. and at their Executive Offices at 10035 - 105 Street, Edmonton, Alberta. A copy of the Application and supporting material is also available for inspection at the office of the British Columbia Utilities Commission, 4th Floor, &00 Smithe Street, Vancouver, B.C. INTER VENTIONS Any person wishing to be present at the public hearing and to give evidence or cross-examine witnesses should provide written notice, to be received not later than Friday, June 24, 19&& to the Com mission Secretary, and to the Applicant. The notice should include a brief statement as to the nature of the interest in the proceedings.
