(HYoho") applied April 13, 1988 for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for the supply, sale and distribution of electricity within Yoho National Park ("the Park"), B.C.; and WHEREAS Yoho purchased the electrical generation and distribution assets of Northern Canada Power Commission in the townsite of Field, B.C. under a separa te agreement called the Assets Sale/Purchase Agreement; and WHEREAS Yoho entered into a long-term Franchise Agreement dated October 30, 1987, with Her Majesty, the Queen in the right of Canada, as herein represented by the Minister of Environment for the righ t, licence and privilege for the sale of electricity within the Park for a term of 21 years. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Sections 51 Utilities Commission Act: 1. Yoho Power Ltd. is granted a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for the provision of electrical service in Yoho National Park, B.C.
