Newlands, Deputy Chairman o R D E R WHEREAS British Columbia Hydro (I1B.C.Hydro") applied June 17, 1988 for approval by the Commission to continue to include in its operating expenses, subsidy payments for the residential customers of Yoho Power Ltd. (nYoho") by extending the time period approved by Commission Order No. G-88-87 from June 30, 1988 to September 30, 1988 and to introduce subsidy payments for non-Federal Government commercial customers from July 1, 1988 to September 30, 1988 inclusive; and WHEREAS the Commission has reviewed the Application and has determined that the payment of the subsidy requested is in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves the subsidy payment by B.C. The amount of the subsidy is calculated as the difference between the existing rate to residential customers of 21.55 cents/kWh and 7.5 cents/kWh, to be applied to the Residential and qualifying Commercial Service Electric Tariff Rate Schedules of Yoho on the first 550 kWh of actual consumption per month. 3. Yoho will calculate the subsidy for qualifying accounts and submit a monthly bill and detailed customer statement to B.C. Hydro.
