V. Newlands, Deputy Chairman; and W.M. Swanson, Q.C., Commissioner o R D E R WHEREAS British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority ("B.C. Hydrotf) applied January 6, 1989 pursuant to Section 67(2) of the Utilities Commission Act (lithe Act ") to amend its Electric Tariff, Overhead Street Lighting Rate Schedules; and WHEREAS the Application will allow B.C. Hydro to amend its Special Terms and Conditions in Rate Schedule 1701 Lighting by closing the availability of mercury vapour fixtures for new installations and to introduce a new 200 watt High Pressure Sodium vapour fixture; and WHEREAS the Application requests Commission approval to cancel Rate Schedule 1760 - Overhead Street Lighting (Closed) since there are no customers taking service from the schedule; and WHEREAS the Commission has reviewed the Application and finds the amendments to be in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders B.C. Hydro and Power Authority as follows: 1. The amendments to Rate Schedule 1701 Street Lighting are approved effective the date of this Order. 2. The cancellation of Rate Schedule 1760 - Street Lighting (Closed) is approved.
