Limited BEFORE: J.D. V. New\ands, Deputy Chairman; and N. Martin, Commissioner o R D E R WHEREAS on June 16, 1988 Northland Utilities (B.C.) Limited ("Northland") applied for Commission approval and acceptance for filing, for gas consumed effective November I, 1987, of an amendment to its Gas Tariff by introducing a Special Contract Rate for its Tumbler Ridge Division which allows for a $0.25/GJ reduction in rates for c.ommercial service customers with annual volumes greater than 6,000 GJ and for small industrial customers with annual gas volumes in excess of 96,000 GJj and WHEREAS the tariff amendment proposed by Northland results from an amendment to the Westcoast Energy Inc. WHEREAS the Commission has reviewed the Application and supporting material and is satisfied that the amendment is appropriate and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Cornmission hereby approves and accepts for filing the following amendment to Gas Tariff BCUC No. I for Northland Utilities (B.C.) Limited: 1. The foJlowing amended Gas Tariff Sheet is accepted for filing by the Commission for gas consumed on and after November I, 1987: Original Sheet No. 46 2. An appropriate notice of explanation is to accompany customer bills containing the new gas rate.
