Page, ) Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS an Application concerning rate design (lithe Application") by Columbia Natural Gas Limited ("Columbia") and a complaint ("Complaint") registered by Fording Coal Limited were heard in a public forum pursuant to Commission Order No. G-86-87; and WHEREAS Commission Order No. G-5l-88 and the Decision on the Application and Complaint was rendered on May 17, 1988; and WHEREAS in the course of conducting a public hearing of the said Application and Complaint the Commission has incurred certain costs incidental thereto; and WHEREAS such Commission costs were paid from time to time on behalf of the Commission by the Minister of Finance and Corporate Relations of the Province of British Columbia. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: I. Pursuant to Section 133 of the Utilities Commission Act the Commission orders Columbia to pay $85,698, being Commission costs incidental to the Application, to the i'lUnister of Finance and Corporate Relations. . .. /2 TELEP.,ONE
2. The amount of $40,410 relating to salaries, wages and benefits for Inland Natural Gas Co. Ltd. employees that was included in the hearing costs of disallowed. 3. Total hearing costs of $257,179 are allowed to be recovered over a three-year period, and allocated on a 70 percent recovery from the Large Industrial Contract Customers and 30 percent to all other user classes, based on a gross cost of service. 4. The Commission will accept, subject to timely filing, filed Gas Tariff Rate Schedules Commission's Decision on rate design and distribution of hearing costs effective June 1, 1988, in accordance with the Order.
