Michelson, ) Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS Commission Order No. G-61-88 set down the Applications to Consolidate Inland Natural Gas Co. Ltd. ("Inland"), Columbia Natural Gas Limited ("Columbia") and Fort Nelson Gas Ltd. ("FNG"), for a public hearing to commence on September 13, 1988 at Kamloops, B.C.: and WHEREAS Inland, Columbia and FNG applied by letter dated June 28, 1988 for a deferral of the public hearing date from September 13, 1988 to a date i n early October, 1988; and WHEREAS the Commission has considered the above request and has determined the dates and procedural deadlines should be amended for the public hearing. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders Inland, Columbia and FNG as follows: I. The dates and procedural deadlines set out in Commission Order No. G-61-88 clauses I through 5, and Notice of Public Hearing are rescinded. 2. A public hearing to hear the Applications to Consolidate \\'ill commence in Kamloops. B.C. at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 1988 at the Coast Canadian Inn, 339 St. Paul Street, Kamloops, S.c,
2 G-72-88 The hearing locations of Cranbrook and Fort Nelson, as specified in Commission Order No. G-25-88, may be set in a future Order and Notice of Public Hearing, if required. The necessity of the regional hearings, as determined by the Commission, will be based on interventions or customer responses made prior to September 13, 1988. 3. Inland, Columbia and FNG will arrange for publication, not later than Wednesday, August 10, 1988, the Notice of Public Hearing, as per attached copy, in one issue of the Vancouver Sun and Province and other local newspapers and publications as may properly provide adequate public notice in the general service areas of the companies. 4. Inland, Columbia and FNG will notify customers by way of a Customer Bill Notice, during the next regular billing cycles in the months of August or September 1988, that the Application to Consolidate will be heard at a public hearing to commence in Kamloops, B.C. on October 12, 1988. 5. Inland, Columbia and FNG are to file with the Commission, not later than Tuesday, August 16, 1988, any direct evidence, prepared testimony and supplemental material upon which they intend to rely. 6. Interested persons intending to partlClpate in the public hearing should give written Notice of Intervention to the Commission Secretary, and to the Applicant not later than Tuesday, August 30, 1988. Such Notice should state the nature of the interest in the proceeding. 7. Interested persons intending to file a written submission should provide one copy to the Commission Secretary, and one copy to the Applicants not later than Tuesday, September 13, 1988.
