Swanson, Q.C., ) Corn missioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS Princeton Light and Power Company, Limited ("PLP") applied December 19, 1989 to amend its filed Electric Tariff Rate Schedules to permit the pass-through of a 6.9 percent interim refundable increase in the cost of power purchased from its supplier, West Kootenay Power Ltd. as authorized by Commission Order No. G-67 -89 effective January 1, 1990; and WHEREAS the Commission has reviewed the Application and supporting material and finds that the filing of the amendments to the filed Electric Tariff is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders PLP as follows: 1. The Commission will accept, subject to timely filing, effective January 1, 1990, arnended Tariff Rate Schedules incorpora ting an increase of 0.1844 cents/kW.h over existing rates on an interim basis, wi th the interim fncrease subject to refund with interest calculated at the average prime rate of the bank with which PLP conducts its business and subject to confirmation of the West Kootenay Power Ltd. general interim rate increase effective January I, 1990. 2. PLP, by way of Customer Notice, is to inform customers of the ra te increase and its effect on monthly bills, along with reasons for the increased rates effective January I, 1990.
