Swanson, Q.C., Commissioner o R D E R WHEREAS West Kootenay November 14, 1989 pursuant to Section 67(4) of the Utilities Commission Act (lithe Act") for Commission approval of an increase of 6.0% to its Electric Tariff Rate Schedules effective January 1, 1990; and WHEREAS WKP stated that the requested increase in rates is a result of a pass-through of certain costs associated with power purchases, wheeling, capital and property taxes, operating expenses and increased investment in facilities. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The November 14, 1989 application to pass-through a 6.0% increase in Electric Tariff Rate Schedules for WKP effective January 1, 1990 is denied. 2. WKP is to file an application for interim rate relief.
