Swanson, ) Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS Princeton Light and Power Company, Limited ("Princeton") applied January 6, 1989 to amend its filed Electric Tariff Rate Schedules to permit the pass-through of a 6.7 percent interim refundable increase in the cost of power purchased from its supplier, West Kootenay Power Ltd. ("WKp ll ) as authorized by Commission Order No. G-I07-88 effective January 1, 1989; and WHEREAS the Commission has reviewed the Application and supporting material and finds that the filing of the amendments to the Filed Tariffs is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders Princeton as follows: 1. The Commission will accept, subject to timely filing, effecti ve January 1, 1989, amended Tariff Rate Schedules incorporating an increase of 0.169 cents/kWh over existing rates on an interim basis, with the interim increase subject to refund with interest calculated at the average prime rate of the bank with which Princeton conducts its business and subject to confirmation of the WKP general interim rate increase effective January 1, 1989. ../ 2 FOuRTI-1 r:; .. oOR. 8C(~ SVlTHE STREET VA~~SOJ\'Eq. 2 2. Princeton, by way of Customer :-Jotice, is to inform customers of the rate increase and its effect on monthly bills along with reasons for the increased rates effective January 1, 1989.
