Newlands, Deputy Chairman; and W.M. Swanson, Q.c., Commissioner o R D E R WHEREAS Princeton Light and Power Company, Limited ("PLpn) applied on October 20, 1989 to amend rates charged customers in its service area; and WHEREAS Commission February 27, 1990 as the commencement date of a public hearing into PLP's Applica tion, and appointed J.D. V. Swanson, Q.C., Commissioner as the Division of the Commission to hear the Application; and WHEREAS the Commission requested PLP to supply additional information; which request was satisfied by PLP; and WHEREAS there have been only two interventions filed indicating an intent to attend the public hearing; and WHEREAS the Division of the Commission hearing the Application is of the opinion that a public hearing is no longer in the public interest within the meaning of Section 101 of the Utilities Commission Act. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The public hearing set for Tuesday, February 27, 1990 at Princeton, B.C., is cancelled. 2. Commission Order No. G-61-89 set the matter down for public hearing to commence February 27, 1990 in Princeton, B.C. PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE PROCEEDINGS There were no written submissions filed in opposition to the rate design plan. SUBMISSION BY INTERVENORS/INTERESTED PERSONS Intervenors or interested persons intending to make a statement or to participate in the hearing are required to do so, in writing, by March 5, 1990. Following receipt of those submissions the Commission will allow PLP to comment on the submissions at which time a Decision will be rendered by the Commission.
