On November 6, 1990 BC Gas Inc. - Lower Mainland Division ("BC Gas") applied to the Commission for approval of a tariff variance to Rate Schedule 2206 General Service - Transportation for compression and dispensing service to a natural gas for vehicles ("NGV") Demonstration Project ("the Project") at B.C. Transit's Coquitiam, B.e., transit facility; and B. The BC Gas Application also sought approval to include the net capital expenditures of the Project in utility rate base. C. BC Gas noted that the Project was funded jointly by BC Gas through the forgiveness of the standard compression/dispensing charges for a period of 24 months, by B.e. Transit and by Energy, Mines and Resources Canada; and D. The Commission has considered the Project and is satisfied that approval of the BC Gas Application is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves the November 6, 1990 BC Gas request to proceed with the Project. 2. The Commission approves that the net capital expenditures for the Project can be added to the BC Gas - Lower Mainland Division's approved rate base, subject to filing of such information with the Commission.
