Hall, ) Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS on December 5, 1989, pursuant to Section 67(1) of the Utilities Commission Act (lithe Act"), B.C. Hydro and Power Authority ("B.C. Hydro") filed an Application (lithe Application") for Commission approval of a Standard Form Industrial Contract for bulk transmission rate customers together with Tariff Sheets for amendments to Rate Schedule 1821 General Service - Transmission and the filing of Rate Schedule 1880 - General Service Transmission - Emergency, Maintenance and Special Supply; and WHEREAS Commission Order No. G-29-90 set down the Application for public hearing to commence June 25, 1990 in Vancouver, B.C.; and WH ER EAS B.C. Hy dro, by letter dated May 31, 1990, submitted to the Commission a Notice of Motion and supporting Affidavit in respect of a proposed adjournment of the June 25, 1990 hearing; and WHEREAS, at the June 4, 1990 pre-hearing conference, the Registered Intervenors commented on the feasibility and ramifications of an adjournment of the hearing; and WHEREAS B.C. Hydro advised the Pre-hearing Conference of the following: (a) a standard "Facilities Agreement" for transmission voltage customers is under preparation and a draft of this Agreement will be filed by June 29, 1990; (b) information on the financial impacts of proposals contained in the industrial intervenors' submission will be filed by August 15, 1990; (c) the concepts involved in the development and operation of a proposed Power Pool Operation will be established by the Fall of 1990. • ••/ 2
BRITISH COLUMBIA UTILITIES COMMISSION ORDER 2 NUMBER G-44-90 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The public hearing date into the Application is postponed to 9:00 a.m., October 16, 1990, in the Hearing Room of the B.C. Utilities Commission, 6th Floor, 900 Howe Street, Vancouver, B.C. 2. B.C. Hydro, Registered Intervenors and Interested Parties are advised tha t a second pre-hearing conference pertaining to the Application will take place at 9:00 a.m., September 14, 1990 in the Hearing Room of the B.C. Utilities Commission. 3. B.C. Hydro is required to file the following information: Draft "Facilities Agreement" and Response to Commission Staff Information Request (except information relating to items in P.O. Swoboda's Affidavit) by June 29, 1990. Information on the financial impacts of proposals contained in the industrial intervenors' submission by August 15, 1990. 4. The Registered Intervenors and Interested Parties are to file their final evidence or submissions by October 1, 1990. 5. B.C. Hydro is ordered to advise, by way of a Notice and informa tion package to all Registered Intervenors, Interested Parties and all Transmission Service, Rate Schedule 1821 customers that the public hearing into the Application is postponed from June 25, 1990 and will commence on October 16, 1990 in the Commission's Hearing Room, Sixth Floor, 900 Howe Street, Vancouver, B.C. B.C. Hydro is to provide all parties with a copy of B.C. Hydro's Notice of Motion, Order No. G-44-90 and the Com mission transmi ttal letter of June 8, 1990.
