Newlands, ) Deputy Chairman; and ) W.M. Swanson, Q.c., ) April 12, 1990 Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS Princeton Light and Power Company, Limited ("PLP") applied on October 20, 1989 for approval of a 6.48 % rate increase effective December 1, 1989 inclusive of a complete restructuring of its rates; and WHEREAS by Order No. G-61-89 dated November 21, 1989 the Commission set down the Application for a public hearing to commence February 27, 1990 at Princeton, B.C.; and WHEREAS by Order No. G-72-89 dated December 21, 1989 PLP received Commission approval to pass-through an interim refundable increase from its supplier West Kootenay Power Ltd. of 0.1844 cents per Kw.h., effective January 1, 1990; and WHEREAS on January 4, 22, 23, 25 and 29, 1990 PLP filed amendments to it's Application that reduced the rate increase to 6.18%; and WHEREAS by Order No. G-18-90 dated February 14, 1990 the Commission cancelled the public hearing and approved the hearing to be conducted in writing with further submissions to be filed by March 5, 1990; and WHEREAS the Commission has considered the Application and amendments by PLP for a revenue requirement increase and for rate design changes. . .. /2 SIXTH FLOOR, 900 HOWE STREET, VANCOUVER B,C. vaz 2N3, CANADA, TELEPHONE: (6041660-47n1l Tnll "'",,,'" 1_AIVl_""" '''0. ~.~~ ..... - .. -
NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders PLP to comply with the directions of the Commission appearing in the Decision issued concurrently with this Order, and to promptly notify each customer class of the impact of these directives. The revenue requirements increase (Part I, revenue reallocation schedule (Part II, Section 3.5); and rate structure design (Part II, Section 4.3) are each to be effective with consumption on or after May 1, 1990.
