Newlands, ) Deputy Chainnan; and ) October 3, 1991 K.L. Hall, ) Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS: A. On September 23, 1991, Centra Gas British Columbia Inc. ("Centra Gas") filed for Commission approval, rate schedules and rates for natural gas distribution service to retail customers located on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast served by the Vancouver Island Natural Gas Pipeline; and B. Centra Gas based its rate schedules for approval on extensive field research conducted during the summer and fall which indicated that there should be a decrease in rates to all Large General Service customers as well as a new apartment/conversion rebate class in order to provide a competitively priced pnxiuct; and C. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that approval of natural gas rates contained in the Application is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves and accepts for filing for Centra Gas, amended Gas Tariff Rate Schedules, effective October 1, 1991 as follows: First Revision Page 52 - Large General Service Rate No.1 (LGS-l) First Revision Page 53 - Large General Service Rate No.2 (LGS-2) First Revision Page 54 - Competitive Range Rate (CRR) First Revision Page 55 - ApartmentIMulti-Family Dwelling Conversion Rebate Original Page 56 Large General Service Rate No.3 (LGS-3) 2. Natural gas rates will apply to all customers including customers on propane grid systems that will be converted within the 30-day period beginning October 1, 1991. The resulting revenue deficiency during the month of October will be applied against the cost of gas deferral account.
