IN THE MAT I'ER OF the Utilities Commission Act, S.B.C. 1980, c. 60, as amended and IN THE MAT I'ER OF an Application by Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. BEFORE: J.D.V. Newlands, ) Deputy Chainnan; ) N. Martin, ) April 3, 1992 Commissioner; and ) H.J. Page, ) Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS: A. On December 1, 1991, Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. ("PNG"), pursuant to Sections 64 and 104 of the Utilities Commission Act, filed a Revenue Requirements Application and applied for an Order granting an interim rate increase, effective with customer consumption, on and after January 1, 1992; and B. By Order No. G-7-92 dated January 8, 1992, the Commission approved an across-the-board interim increase in rates of 2.86 percent based on total revenue for PNG customers, effective January 1, 1992; and C. The Order set the Application down for a public hearing in Prince Rupert that commenced February 24, 1992 and concluded February 27, 1992; and , D. The Commission has considered the Application and evidence adduced therein, all as set forth in the Decision issued concurrently with this Order. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders PNG as follows: 1. The Rate Base and Revenue Requirements for the year ending December 31, 1992 are as set out in the Schedules contained in the Decision. 2. The interim rates, approved by Order No. G-7 -92, are considered to be excessive and are required to be partially refunded with appropriate interest to customers from January 1, 1992 to the date upon which the new Tariff Schedules come into effect. 3. PNG will comply with the several directions incorporated in the Commission Decision.
