Newlands, ) January 30, 1992 Deputy Chainnan; and ) N. Martin, ) Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS: A. On January 17, 1992 BC Gas Inc. ("BC Gas") applied to the Commission for approval of five long-term natural gas contracts with Grand Valley Gas Co., Barrett Resources Corp., Conoco Inc., Phillips Petroleum Co., and Union Oil Company of California (lithe U.S. Producers") pursuant to Rules Respecting Energy Supply Contracts (lithe Rules") and Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act (lithe Act"); and B. The Gas Purchase Contracts from the U.S. Producers will provide BC Gas with 29 MMCF/day of gas for a period ranging from 2-year to 5-year terms commencing March 1, 1992; and C. The Commission has reviewed the Gas Purchase Contracts from the U.S. Producers and is satisfied that approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: The Gas Purchase Contracts between BC Gas and the U.S. Producers providing for gas supply of 29 MMCF/day for periods ranging from two to five years commencing March 1, 1992 is approved and accepted pursuant to the Rules and Section 85.3 of the Act.
