On November 26, 1992 BC Gas applied pursuant to the Commission's Rules Respecting Energy Supply Contracts (lithe Rules") and Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act") for approval of amendments to its Peaking Agreement with Unocal Canada Limited dated August 10, 1989 and amendments to the Short-Term Interruptible Gas Supply Agreement with Cancarb Limited dated December 4, 1990; and B. The amendments to the Unocal Agreement provide BC Gas with a significant quantity of gas supply during the period November 1, 1992 to March 31, 1993; and C. The amendments to the Cancarb Interruptible Gas Supply Agreement provide BC Gas with additional short-term gas supplies at competitive prices at the B.C./Alberta border; and D. The Commission has reviewed the agreements and has determined that approval of the amendments is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission, pursuant to the Rules and Section 85.3 of the Act, approves for BC Gas the following: 1. The Amending Agreement dated October 9, 1992 to the August 10, 1989 Peaking Agreement with Unocal Canada Limited. 2. The Amendments dated October 7, 1992, November 24, 1992 and November 26, 1992 to the Agreement regarding the supply and purchase of Short-Term Interruptible Gas Supply with Cancarb Limited dated December 4, 1990.
