Barr, ) August 14, 1992 Deputy Chair; and ) F.C. Leighton, ) Commissioner ) ORDER WHEREAS: A. Commission Decision and Order No. G-51-88, dated May 17, 1988 regarding a Rate Design Application by BC Gas Inc. - Columbia Division ("BC Gas") (formerly Columbia Natural Gas Limited) and a Fording Coal Ltd. complaint, approved amongst other matters, the use of the demand-distance methodology in allocating the cost of service to Special Contract customers as a class and their classification as Rate Schedule 7; and B. On June 1, 1991 two Rate Schedule 7 customers changed their nomination, which in accordance with the Rate Design Decision, required a recalculation of the Schedule 7 demand rates; and C. On December 17, 1991, BC Gas applied for approval to amend Rate Schedule 7 rates effective June 1, 1991; and D. On August 11, 1992, BC Gas confirmed that all Rate Schedule 7 customers have signed contracts agreeing to the new rates; and E. The Commission has considered the Application and is satisfied that the amendment is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission: 1. Accepts for filing BC Gas, Gas Tariff, Rate Schedule 7 - Large Volume Firm Service, Third Revision of Sheet No. 81, effective June 1, 1991.
