Limited BEFORE: M.K. Jaccard, ) Chair, and ) September 23, 1992 L.R. Barr, ) Deputy Chair ) o R D E R WHEREAS: A. On July 31, 1992 Northland Utilities (RC.) Limited - Tumbler Ridge Division ("NUL") applied to the Commission for approval to continue the collection from customers of an over-recovery of gas costs for 1992 in the amount of $47,000; and B. The over-recovery of gas costs will allow NUL to offset additional cost of service charges incurred including the R C. Corporation Capital Tax, an increase of 1 percent in the provincial corporate income tax rates and a lower than approved return on equity; and C. The Commission has reviewed the Application and supporting documentation and is satisfied that approval of maintaining the natural gas rates at their current level is necessary and in the public interest NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: Pursuant to Section 67(4) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission approves for NUL that the current gas tariff rates be continued which will permit the retention of $47,000 of over-recovered gas costs in order to offset other utility costs including the RC. Corporation Capital Tax and the 1 percent increase in Corporate Income Tax Rates effective for the 1992 calendar year.
