Jaccard, ) Chair; and ) L.R. Barr, ) September 9, 1992 Deputy Chair ) o R D E R WHEREAS: A. Commission Order No. E-12-91 approved six Gas Purchase Contracts for gas supply to the Vancouver Island Gas Joint Venture ("the Joint Venture ") for the contract year commencing November 1, 1991 pursuant to Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act") and the Rules Respecting Energy Supply Contracts (lithe Rules"); and B. On July 24, 1992 Inland Natural Gas Marketing Ltd. ("INGM"), as gas supply manager for the group of seven pulp mills for the Joint Venture, applied to the Commission for approval of an extension of the fIrm and interruptible natural gas supply contracts by way of executed letter agreements as detailed in Appendix A to this Order (lithe Agreements") for the 1992/93 gas contract year, pursuant to Section 85.3 of the Act and the Rules; and C. The Commission has reviewed the Agreements and is satisfIed that approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby approves and accepts for fIling, the Agreements as detailed in Appendix A to this Order, pursuant to the Rules and Section 85.3 of the Act.
