McIntyre, ) Chainnan; and ) N. Martin, ) July 30, 1992 Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS: A. On December 20, 1991, and July 22, 1991 Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. ("PNG") applied to the Commission for approval of two short-tenn natural gas supply contracts for the gas year commencing November 1, 1991 with Canadian Hydrocarbons Marketing Inc. and CanWest Gas Supply Inc.("the short-tenn portfolio"); and B. On July 22, 1992, PNG applied to the Commission for approval of certain spot gas purchase arrangements for the period July 1, 1992 to October 31, 1992; and C. On July 14, 1992, by Order No. E-8-92, the Commission approved PNG's long-tenn gas supply portfolio for the period commencing November 1, 1991; and D. The Commission is satisfied that consistent with Order No. E-8-92, the short-tenn portfolio and spot gas purchase arrangements are necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Rules thereunder, the Commission approves the following: 1. A letter agreement dated November 14, 1991 between PNG and CanWest Gas Supply Inc. for the interruptible supply of natural gas for the period November 1, 1991 to October 31, 1992. 2. The arrangements for finn winter peaking supply as outlined in the gas management letter agreement, dated October 31, 1991 (revised) between PNG and Canadian Hydrocarbons Marketing Inc. for the period November 1, 1991 to March 31, 1992. 3. The arrangements for spot gas purchases as outlined in PNG's letter to the Commission dated July 22, 1992, for the period July 1, 1992 to October 31, 1992.
