SIXTH FLOOR, 900 HOWE STREET, BOX 250 VANCOUVER, B.C. V6Z 2N3 CANADA AN ORDER IN THE MA TIER OF the Utilities Commission Act, S.B.C. 1980, c. 60, as amended and An Application by BC Gas Utility Ltd. BEFORE: M.K. Jaccard, Chairperson; and L.R. Barr, Deputy Chairperson o R D E R WHEREAS: A. On September 21, 1993, by Order No. G-83-93, the Commission issued a preliminary and partial Decision on Phase B Rate Design and required BC Gas Utility to file Industrial Tariffs effective November 1, 1993; and B. On September 24 and 29, 1993 BC Gas Utility applied to the Commission for approval of commodity pricing for Rate Schedules 7, 8 and 10 for the gas contract year commencing November 1, 1993; and C. The commodity prices filed are in accordance with market based rates to all interruptible sales as outlined in the Commission's 1992 Decision on Phase A Rate Design and Gas Cost Methodology; and D. The Commission has considered the application and is satisfied that the amendments to industrial tariffs are necessary and in the publ ic interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for BC Gas Utility commodity pricing for Rate Schedules 7,8, and 10 for the gas contract year commencing November 1, 1993 as follows: Schedule 7 (Small Volume Interruptible) Schedules 8 and 10 (Large Volume Interruptible) 2. The optional index pricing alternative for Rate Schedule 10, similar to that approved for Rate Schedule 14 Interruptible Backstopping Service, is approved. 3. The Commission will accept, subject to timely filing by BC Gas Utility, Gas Tariff Rate Schedules in accordance with this Order.
