Limited BEFORE: M.K. Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) December 15, 1993 ORDER WHEREAS: A. On November 24, 1993 Northland Utilities (B.C.) Limited ("NUL") applied to the Commission for approval to record in a deferral account the costs associated with its Integrated Resource Plan ("IRP") incurred to the date of its application and future IRP costs that will be incurred in 1994; and B. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that a deferral account to record IRP costs is appropriate and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders NUL as follows: 1. The Commission approves for NUL, pursuant to Section 67(4) of the Utilities Commission Act, the use of a deferral account to record the costs associated with NUL's IRP for 1993 and 1994, with such balances attracting interest at the average prime rate of the utility's principle bank. 2. The disposition of the IRP deferral account will be determined by the Commission, or at the next public hearing into NUL's application for revenue requirements.
