Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) F.e. Leighton, Commissioner ) August 12, 1993 ORDER WHEREAS: A. On November 28, 1991 Princeton Light and Power Company, Limited ("PLp II ) filed an Application for a general increase in rates and to pass-through West Kootenay Power Ltd.'s ("WKP") interim increase in rates for power supplied, both effective January 1, 1992; and B. Commission Orders No. G-121-91 and G-16-92 together, approved a 6.17 percent interim general increase and a 5.1215 percent interim increase to pass-through WKP's increase in rates for power supplied, both effective January 1, 1992; and C. Commission Order No. G-59-92 confirmed as permanent the general interim increase for PLP of 6.17 percent, leaving the remaining interim increase to be approved; and D. On December 29, 1992 PLP filed an Application for a 2.733 percent increase in rates in order to pass-through WKP's 4.8 percent interim increase in rates, effective January 1, 1993; and E. Commission Order No. G-1-93 approved a 2.733 percent interim increase in rates effective January 1, 1993; and F. On July 22, 1993 PLP filed an Application requesting confirmation of the interim increases of 5.1215 percent effective January 1, 1992 and 2.733 percent effective January 1, 1993 and foregoing the pass-through of a 1.72 percent increase in WKP rates for power supplied after July 1, 1993; and G. The Commission has reviewed the Application and supporting material and finds that confirmation of the PLP interim increases are necessary and in the public interest. .. ./2
2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The interim increase for PLP of 5.1215 percent, approved together by Orders No. G-121-91 and G-16-92 is confirmed as permanent, effective January 1, 1992. 2. The interim increase for PLP of 2.733 percent, approved by Order No. G-1-93 is confirmed as permanent, effective January 1, 1993. 3. The Commission will accept, subject to timely filing, amended Electric Tariff rate schedules that embody the permanent increases approved by this Order. 4. PLP will provide all customers with an appropriate notice of explanation of the permanent PLP rate increases.
