BEFORE: M.K. Jaccard, Chair; and ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chair ) Apri115, 1993 WHEREAS: A. Commission Order No. E-2-93 approved for Centra Gas British Columbia Inc. ("Centra Gas") long-term Natural Gas Supply Contracts for the gas contract year commencing November 1, 1992 pursuant to Rules Respecting Energy Supply Contracts ("the Rules") and Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act"); and B. On March 8, 1993 Centra Gas applied to the Commission for approval of a Winter Peaking Gas Supply arrangement with Canadian Hydrocarbons Marketing Inc. ("CHMI") and an Interruptible Natural Gas Supply arrangement from Centra Gas to CHMI; and C. The Winter Peaking Natural Gas Supply Agreement dated January 12, 1993 provides for a firm maximum daily quantity of 3,000 GJ and additional interruptible volumes for the period November 1, 1992 to March 31, 1993; and D. The Interruptible Natural Gas Purchase Agreement with CHMI dated January 12, 1993 provides for the sale by Centra Gas of up to 7,000 GJ per day of Valley Gas for the period November 1, 1992 to March 31, 1993; and E. The Commission has reviewed the Agreements and is satisfied that its approval should be given. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Winter Peaking Natural Gas Supply Agreement between Centra Gas and CHMI dated January 12, 1993 is approved, pursuant to Section 85.3 of the Act and the Rules thereunder.

Pursuant to Section 67 of the Act, the Interruptible Natural Gas Purchase Agreement between Centra Gas and CHMI for sales by Centra Gas of up to 7,000 GJ per day for the period November 1, 1992 to March 31, 1993 is approved as a rate schedule, on the condition that such schedules will not apply on days that Centra Gas is purchasing peaking gas. 3. Centra Gas will file with the Commission for approval any future agreements for the sale of Valley Gas prior to delivery of the gas.
