On July 31, 1992 Northland Utilities (B.C.) Ltd. ("NUL") applied pursuant to the Commission's Rules Respecting Energy Supply Contracts, ("the Rules") and Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act for approval of a Gas Sales Agreement with CanWest Gas Supply Inc., ("CanWest") dated November 1, 1991 for supply of gas up to November 1, 1996; and B. The Agreement will allow NUL to purchase up to 3.6TJ of gas per day from the gas fields in the Grizzly B.C. area; and C. The Commission is satisfied that the contract between NUL and CanWest should be approved. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 85.3 of the Act and the Rules thereunder, the Commission approves the Gas Sales Agreement with CanWest dated November 1, 1991, conditional on NUL filing amendments to the Agreement which: • bring the length of the supply commitment under the contract into conformance with the Rules; and • provide NUL with priority access to production in the Grizzly area which is committed to CanWest.
