("Centra Gas") applied to the Commission for approval of two propane supply contracts ("the Contracts") with Petro-Canada Resources ("Petro-Canada") for gas supply to the utility grid systems located at Port Alice and Whistler B.C., pursuant to Rules Respecting Energy Supply Contracts ("the Rules") and Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act"); and B. The Contracts provide for propane to be supplied by Petro-Canada from its Taylor, B.C. natural gas liquids plant and covers the contract period from October 1, 1992 to September 30, 1993 followed by a one-year contract extension; and C. The Commission has reviewed the Contracts and supporting material and is satisfied that approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The propane supply contracts with Petro-Canada for the Centra Gas grid systems located at Port Alice and Whistler are approved and accepted pursuant to the Rules and Section 85.3 of the Act as follows: Location Contract Date Annual Quantity Port Alice September 2, 1992 950 cubic meters Whistler August 31, 1992 9,500 cubic meters 2. The December 3, 1992 Letter Agreement amending the propane prices for Port Alice covering the period of supply from October 1, 1992 through September 30, 1994 is approved. 3. Centra Gas is directed to file by March 31, 1994 for the utility grid systems a report on strategy for propane supply after September 30, 1994 and to include consideration of a portfOlio of spot and fixed price purchases.
