Jaccard, Chair; ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chair; and ) February 17, 1993 K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) WHEREAS: A. Commission Order No. E-8-92 approved for Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. ("PNG") four long-term gas supply contracts commencing November 1, 1991 pursuant to Rules Respecting Energy Supply Contracts ("the Rules") and Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act"); and B. On December 15, 1992 and January 26, 1993 PNG applied to the Commission for approval of pricing amendments to its long-term supply contracts with Encor Energy Corporation Inc., Czar Resources Ltd. and Orbit Oil and Gas Ltd. for the contract year commencing November 1, 1992 and to its supply contract with CanWest Gas Supply Inc. for the two year period commencing November 1, 1992; and C. PNG also applied for approval of prices for fuel gas purchased commencing November 1, 1991 under several long-term gas supply contracts for delivery to WestCoast Energy Inc. ("WEI") as fuel gas required for transportation on its system; and D. On February 16, 1993 PNG applied for approval of a short-term and seasonal gas supply contract with Dekalb Energy Canada Ltd. ("Dekalb") for the contract year commencing November 1, 1992; and E. The Commission has reviewed the filings and has determined that approval for PNG of the amendments to the long-term gas supply contracts and of the new gas supply agreement with Dekalb are necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission, pursuant to the Rules and SeCtion 85.3 of the Act, approves for PNG the following: 1. The Letter Agreements amending the pricing arrangements for the PNG Long-Term Gas Supply Contracts described in Appendix A to this Order. 2. The Letter Agreements establishing pricing arrangements for fuel gas purchased under long-term supply contracts, as outlined in Appendix A to this Order. . . ./2
