On November 16, 1992 Yoho Power Ltd. ("Yoho") filed with the Commission an application for amendments to its filed Electric Tariff Rate Schedules requesting a revenue requirement increase of 5.6 percent along with certain rate design matters, pursuant to Section 67 of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act"); and B. In December, 1992 Yoho advised its customers, through a billing insert, of the pending increase in electric rates as a result of increased operating costs, additions to rate base and other charges; and e. On January 13, and March 1, 1993 Yoho provided additional information to the Commission in support of the application for amended revenue requirements and electric rates to all customers; and D. The Commission has reviewed the application and subsequent information and finds that approval of the increase in electric rates for Yoho is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for Yoho a revenue requirement increase of 4.07 percent to be collected through increases in electric rates to all customers, pursuant to Section 67(4) of the Act, effective March 1, 1993. .../2

The Grid Connection Charges in the amount of $96,604, spent by Synex Energy Resources Ltd., studying a potential interconnection with TransAlta Utilities at Lake Louise, are not to be included in rate base at this time. Such inclusion may only be appropriate after such a grid connection has received approval to proceed. 3. Depreciation charges by Y oho are to be adjusted to Commission approved rates. 4. The Commission approves the applied for amendments to the existing rate structure and connection and reconnection charges, commensurate with the approved revenue requirement increase of 4.07 percent. 5. Yoho is to file amended rate schedules reflecting the above increases and changes for approval by the Commission. 6. Yoho will send a copy of the Commission's letter, attached as Appendix A to this Order, to all affected customers. G-20-93 March 24, 1993 To All Customers of Yoho Power Ltd. On November 16, 1992 Yoho Power Ltd. ("Yoho") applied to increase its revenue from electricity charges to all customers by 5.6 percent as a result of increased operating costs, additions to rate base and other charges. A copy of that Application is available for inspection at the head office and Field, B.C. offices of Yoho and at the B.C. Utilities Commission, 6th Floor, 900 Howe Street, Vancouver B.C. V6Z 2N3. The Commission has reviewed the Yo ho Application and has ordered that an increase in electricity revenue requirements of 4.07 percent is to become effective on and after March 1, 1993. The Commission has determined that the costs of a public hearing are not in the public interest and Commission Order No. G-20-93 is made pursuant to Section 67(4) of the Utilities Commission Act (theIAct") which reads as follows: "67(4) A public utility may file with the commission a new schedule of rates that the utility considers to be made necessary by a rise in the price, over which the utility has no effective control, required to be paid by the public utility for its gas supplies, other energy supplied to it, or expenses and taxes, and the new schedule may be put into effect by the public utility on receiving the approval of the commission, but if within 60 days after the date the commission approves the new schedule the commission either on complaint of a person whose interests are affected or on its own motion directs an inquiry into the new schedule of rates having regard to the fixing of a rate that is not unjust or unreasonable, the commission may after the inquiry rescind or vary the increase and order a refund or customer credit by the utility of all or part of the money received by way of increase, or may confirm the increase or part of it.
