Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) November 24, 1994 ORDER WHEREAS: A. On November 15, 1994 BC Gas Utility Ltd. ("BC Gas") filed for Commission approval an October 13, 1994 Letter Agreement that amends its Seasonal Gas Purchase Contract dated July 1, 1992 with Associated Gas Services Inc. ("AGSI") (formerly known as Grand Valley Gas Company) which had previously been approved by Order No. E-11-92; and B. The application also requested approval for a new Backstopping Gas Purchase Contract dated September 1, 1994 with CanWest Gas Supply Inc. ("CanWest"); and C. On May 26, 1994 BC Gas filed its 1994/95 Gas Contracting Plan, which was subsequently approved by the Commission by letter dated June 10, 1994, as being a generally acceptable gas acquisition strategy subject to the filing of individual contracts for approval; and D. The Commission has reviewed the BC Gas filing and is satisfied that approval of the contract and amendment is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Rules, and subject to BC Gas filing fully executed documents in a timely fashion, the Commission approves the contract and amendment: 1. Letter Agreement with AGSI dated October 13, 1994 which establishes prices for the 1994/95 gas contract year under the July 1, 1992 Seasonal Gas Purchase Contract. 2. Backstopping Gas Purchase Contract with CanWest dated September 1, 1994 for 10,000 MMBtu/day. DA TED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this day of November, 1994.
