Jaccard, Chairperson, ) K.L. Hall, Commissioner; and ) November 30, 1994 F.C. Leighton, Commissioner ) ORDER WHEREAS: A. On October 28, 1994 British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority ("B.C. Hydro") applied to the Commission for approval of the purchase of a new short-term gas purchase contract for use at its Burrard Thermal Generating Plant with Mobil Oil Canada ("Mobil ") covering the period November 1, 1994 to February 28, 1995 and amendments to previously approved contracts with Inland Pacific Energy Services Ltd. ("Inland") covering the period October 26, 27 and 28, 1994 with Mobil, covering the period November 1 to 30, 1994, and with CanWest Gas Supply Inc. ("CanWest") covering the period November 1 to 30, 1994 ; and B. The Commission has reviewed the filings and is satisfied that the new contract and amendments to gas supply contracts should be approved. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Rules, the Commission approves the following gas supply arrangements for B.C. Hydro: 1. Gas Purchase Contract dated November 1, 1994 with Mobil for the supply of up to 20,000 GJ/day of firm gas for the period November 1, 1994 to February 28, 1995. . . .12
2 E-24-94 2. Amendment to the Gas Purchase Contract dated March 11, 1993 with Inland for the supply of up to 23,551 GJ/day of firm gas covering the period October 26, 27 and 28, 1994. 3. Amendment to the Gas Purchase Contract dated March 1, 1993 with Mobil for the supply of up to 10,000 GJ/day of firm gas covering the period November 1 to 30, 1994. 4. Amendment to the Gas Purchase Contract dated September 10, 1992 with CanWest for the supply of up to 80,000 GJ/day of interruptible gas covering the period November 1 to 30, 1994.
