BEFORE: M.K. Jaccard, Olair; ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Olair ) February 17, 1993 K.L. Hall, Commissioner; and ) WHEREAS: A. On January 11, 1993 Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (ltpNG It ) applied to the Commission for approval to dispose of the cost of gas deferral accounts approved by Orders No. G-108-91, G-9-92, G-28-92 and G-58-92 and to refund the credit balances amounting to $350,032 to gas sales customers served under Rate Schedules 1, 2, 5 and 6 for the period November 1, 1991 to August 1, 1992; and B. The application also requested Commission approval to apply the $4,570 in the spot gas deferral amount owing to core market customers against the $9,829 owing to PNG by Rate Schedules 4 and 7 customers and to leave a debt balance of $5,259 in the cost of gas deferral account for future disposition; and C. The Commission has considered the PNG Application and fmds that an Order requiring the disposition of the deferral accounts is required. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders PNG as follows: 1. The Commission approves for PNG the application for the disposition of the credit balances amounting to $350,032 in the cost of gas deferral accounts that have accumulated from Rate Schedules 1, 2, 5 and 6 for the period November 1, 1991 to August 1, 1992. 2. The request by PNG to apply the credit balance in the spot gas deferral account to the benefit of other customers is denied. 3. PNG is directed to maintain the credit to the core market in the spot gas deferral account in the amount of $4 ,570 for future disposition. 4. PNG is to inform all affected customers of the reasons for the changes in rates resulting from such refunds.
