Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) November 24, 1994 ORDER WHEREAS: A. On November 21, 1994 BC Gas Utility Ltd. ("BC Gas") applied to the Commission for approval to set up an Off-System Sales Coordination Centre ("OSS") that will provide the utility with electronic sales and market information for natural gas services; and B. BC Gas advised that it will incur approximately $99,900 of costs for equipment, facilities and operating expenses and requests the Commission approve an increase in the core market administration costs as well as the establishment of a deferral account to capture such costs for future recovery that will be decided in the review of its 1996 Revenue Requirements application; and C. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds the approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for BC Gas the expenditures of up to approximately $99,900 for equipment, facilities and operating expenses relating to OSS. 2. The Commission approves for BC Gas the setting up of a deferral account in order to capture costs associated with OSS, the disposition of which will be decided at the utility's 1996 Revenue Requirements application.
