BEFORE: M.K. Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) F.e. Leighton, Commissioner ) April 20, 1994 ORDER WHEREAS: A. On November 22, 1993 BC Gas Utility Ltd. ("BC Gas") filed with the Commission an application based on a two-year test period to increase, on an interim and permanent basis, captive rates of customers in the Lower Mainland, Inland and Columbia Divisions effective January 1, 1994 and a further increase effective January 1, 1995 ("the Application") pursuant to Sections 64 and 101 of the Utilities Commission Act; and B. The Commission by Order No. G-120-93 approved for BC Gas an interim rate increase of 6.26 percent on gross margin revenue of the captive rate schedules effective with consumption on and after January 1, 1994; and e. The Commission, by Order No. G-1O-94, as amended by Order No. G-26-94, set the date of May 2, 1994 for the commencement of a public hearing into the Application; and D. WestCoast Environmental Law Association and the British Columbia Public Interest Advocacy Centre, both Registered Intervenors, asked the Commission for a delay in the commencement of the public hearing concerning the BC Gas Integrated Resource Planning C'IRP") segment of the public hearing; and E. The Commission, in consideration of the Intervenor requests and its time schedule, has decided that a rescheduling of the IRP portion of the public hearing commencement date is required. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders BC Gas as follows: 1. The public hearing into the IRP segment of the BC Gas Application will commence 8:30 a.m. Monday, June 6, 1994 in the Commission Hearing Room. 2. Any subsequent evidence into the Application pertaining to the IRP is required to be filed with the Commission and delivered to Registered Intervenors on or before Wednesday, May 18, 1994.
