Jaccard, Chairperson ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chairperson; and ) December 22, 1994 K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) ORDER WHEREAS: A. On December 22, 1994 Princeton Light and Power Company, Limited ("PLp") filed an application for an increase in rates of 2.49 percent as a result of increased power purchase costs from its supplier, West Kootenay Power Ltd. ("WKP"), effective January 1, 1995, made necessary by Commission Orders No. G-41-94 and G-100-94, approving for WKP a cumulative increase in rates of 4.7 percent effective January 1, 1995; and B. The Commission has considered the Application and is satisfied that an increase in rates for PLP is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: I, The Commission approves for PLP an increase in rates of 2.49 percent, effective January 1, 1995, 2. The Commission will accept, subject to timely filing, amended Electric Tariff rate schedules that embody the increase approved by this Order. 3. PLP will provide all customers with an appropriate notice of explanation of the rate increase and its effect on monthly electricity bills by way of a bill stuffer and will publish a notice in the Community newspaper.
