Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chairperson ) November 18, 1994 ORDER WHEREAS: A. On October 27, 1994 Centra Gas British Columbia Inc. ("Centra Gas") applied to the Commission for approval of new retail market-priced rates for apartments and multifamily dwellings for natural gas service on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast, effective with consumption January 1, 1994; and B. The tariff amendments reflect an agreement between Centra Gas and the Province of British Columbia that provides a mechanism to link retail natural gas rates with the Vancouver Fuel Oil (referred to as "Rack") price; and C. Centra Gas advises that the new rate is available as an option to both existing and current grid system customers; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for Centra Gas the following natural gas rates for apartments and multifamily buildings in the Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast service areas on the basis of Special Direction No.5 and Binding Agreement page 60, effective January 1, 1994: • Seventh Revision of Page 7 - Retail Market Pricing for Apartment/MultiFamily Dwelling (ACR-l), • Original Page 9 - Competitive Range Rate Pricing for Apartment/MultiFamily Dwelling (ACR-2). 2. Centra Gas is to inform all appropriate customers of the optional rates available to this customer class.
