BEFORE: M.K. Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) F.C. Leighton, Commissioner ) March 31, 1994 ORDER WHEREAS: A. On November 22, 1993 BC Gas Utility Ltd. (tlBCGUL tI ) filed with the Commission an application based on a two-year test period to increase, on an interim and permanent basis, captive rates of customers in the Lower Mainland, Inland and Columbia Divisions effective January 1, 1994 and a further increase effective January 1, 1995 (tithe Application tl ) pursuant to Sections 64 and 101 of the Utilities Commission Act; and B. The Commission by Order No. G-120-93 approved for BCGUL an interim rate increase of 6.26 percent on gross margin revenue of the captive rate schedules effective with consumption on and after January 1, 1994; and C. The Commission, by Order No. G-1O-94, set the date of April 25, 1994 for the commencement of a public hearing into the Application; and D. The Commission, in consideration of its time schedule, has decided that a rescheduling of the pre-hearing conference and public hearing commencement dates is necessary. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders BCGUL as follows: 1. A final Pre-hearing Conference will be held in the Commission's Hearing Room at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday. April 27, 1994. 2. A Public Hearing will be held commencing 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 2, 1994 in the Commission's Hearing Room. 3. BCGUL will publish, in display-ad format in the business sections of The Vancouver Sun and The Province newspapers, and in local newspapers in its service area before Wednesday, April 13, 1994 a Notice advising customers of the delay in the proceedings. BC Gas will inform, by separate letter and with a copy of this Order, all Registered Intervenors and Interested Parties in the proceeding.
