The Commission has also approved the recovery of BC Gas hearing costs in the amount of $612,014 amonized over a three year period and included in rates effective November 1, 1994. Commissioner ) September 26. 1994 ORDER WHEREAS: A. On May 2. 1994 Phases 1. 2 and 3 of the 1994195 Revenue Requirements public hearing commenced.. The participants to the hearings were advised in advance to submit a budget of costs and expenses to the Commission followed by applications for expenses related to their panicipation in accordance with the criteria set out in Order No. G-117-93; and B. The Panels of each phase of the hearing discussed the claims. having regard to the criteria and rates set out in Order No. G-117-93. and provided the awards to be added to the Panicipant Funding sheets; and C. The maximum award to legal counsel was based on $800 per participation day plus expenses which the Panel felt was a reasonable contribution to legal costs. TIle maximum award to consultants was based on the fee and expense schedules submitted; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Panicipant Funding applications and requires BC Gas to pay for such awards as shown below. A breakdown of the cost awards can be found in the Participant Funding Sheet attached as Appendix A to this Order. NOW TIIEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: Pursuant to Section 133.1 of the Utilities Commission Act.
