Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chairperson ) November 9, 1995 ORDER WHEREAS: A. The BC Gas Utility Ltd. ("BC Gas") Rate Design Phase "B" proceeding established prices for balancing gas under Rate Schedule 22/22A; and B. On September 7, 1995 the Commission, by Order No. G-75-95, approved for BC Gas its August 23, 1995 application covering amendments to Rate Schedule 22/22A so that the current fixed price methodology for balancing gas was replaced by add-on balancing gas charges of $1.10/GJ for the period November through March and $0.30/GJ for the period April through October, with the change to be effective for the gas contract year commencing November 1, 1995; and C. On October 26 and 30, 1995 BC Gas submitted rate schedule amendments which implement the balancing gas charges in accordance with the approval given by Order No. G-75-95. On November 1, 1995 BC Gas applied to the Commission to extend the Firm Curtailment Buyout Option under Rate Schedule 22A for the 1995/96 gas contract year; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Applications and finds that approval for the amendments, effective for the 1995/96 gas contract year, are necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: The Commission approves for BC Gas the amendments which implement the balancing gas charges and extends the Firm Curtailment Buyout Option under Rate Schedule 22/22A for the 1995/96 gas contract year.
