V6Z 2N3 CANADA AN ORDER IN THE MAITER OF the Utilities Commission Act, S.B.C. 1980, c. 60, as amended An Application by BC Gas Utility Ltd. for Approval of Market-based Commodity Prices for Industrial Rate Schedules BEFORE: M.K. Jaccard, Chairperson; and L.R. Barr, Deputy Chairperson ORDER WHEREAS: A. On September 7, 1995 BC Gas Utility Ltd. ("BC Gas") applied to the Commission for approval of fixed and indexed market-based commodity pricing for Rate Schedule 7 (small volume interruptible industrial sales) and for Rate Schedules 8 and 10 Priority 2 (large volume interruptible industrial sales) for the gas contract year commencing November 1, 1995; and B. The commodity prices filed are in accordance with market-based rates to all interruptible sales as outlined in the Commission's 1992 Decision on Phase A Rate Design and Gas Cost Methodology; and C. Industrial customers have expressed a desire for prices under Rates Schedules 7, 8 and 10 to be established as far as possible in advance of the November 1st start of the gas contract year; and D. The Commission has considered the application and is satisfied that the pricing amendments to industrial gas sales tariffs for the 1995/96 gas contract year are necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for BC Gas market-based commodity pricing for Industrial Rate Schedules 7, 8, and 10 for the gas contract year commencing November 1, 1995 as proposed in the September 7, 1995 BC Gas application as follows: Schedule 7, fixed Schedule 7, index Schedules 8 and 10 Priority 2, fixed Schedules 8 and 10 Priority 2, indexed 2.
