On NovemberÊ28, 1995 Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. - West Division (ÒPNGÓ) and Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. - Dawson Creek and Tumbler Ridge Divisions [ÒPNG(N.E.)Ó] applied to the Commission, pursuant to SectionsÊ64 and 106 of the Utilities Commission Act, for approval to amend its Gas Tariff Rate Schedules on an interim and permanent basis effective January 1, 1996 (Òthe ApplicationÓ); and B. The Commission issued Order No.ÊG-117-95 which approved for PNG and PNG(N.E.) interim rate changes effective JanuaryÊ1, 1996, and set a public hearing into the Application; and C. The Commission issued Order No.ÊG-12-96, after a pre-hearing conference, setting the review of the Dawson Creek and Tumbler Ridge parts of the Application to be dealt with by the Alternate Dispute ResolutionÊ(ÒADRÓ) process and the PNG part of the Application by a public hearing; and D. PNG and PNG(N.E.) filed updates to the Application on February 16 and MarchÊ1, 1996 respectively. The update to the PNG(N.E.) parts of the Application contains new requests and changes similar to those contained in that of PNG. NOW THEREFORE the Commission has concluded that examining all the issues of the Application in a public hearing is more efficient and cost effective, and orders PNG and PNG(N.E.) as follows: 1. The ADR process set up for PNG(N.E.) by Order No.ÊG-12-96 is hereby cancelled. 2. The public hearing scheduled to commence at 9:00Êa.m. AprilÊ9, 1996 in the Commission's Hearing Room will examine issues pertaining to PNG and PNG(N.E.). 3. The Applicant is to inform all registered intervenors and interested parties on record about the contents of this Order.
